Long story short:
I have tried to upgrade my hpsim 7.5 to 7.6 ,
I reset the password for the default service account user , cause I didn’t know it password,
HPSIM 7.5 stopped working due to the error he cannot login to the database.
I updated through mxpassword –g the passwords, and did everything hpsim guides and internet had to offer.
Please help me . Working for 2 days on this.

I have changed the windows service account password and since then the hpsim cannot connect to the database due to wrong password,
I have updates through mxpassword -g the DB user password as the new one,
It didn't seem to work ,

I didn't know HP system management password, do you mean the login password? I used iseepassword to reset my hp password, hope it works.
Download and install HPE Insight Management Agents for Windows Server x64 Editions (American) include http://downloads.hpe.com/pub/softlib2/software1/sc-windows/p14592108/v119474/cp030048.exe and configure Event Notifier Config.
You need the system user like root and the system password. This should work
Do you know if anyone from HP actually checks this forum as it seems I am not alone with this issue.
It also means that the system is unable to send email alerts if it detects anything

I'm fairly new to Insight Manager but am trying to configure the VCA settings so that I can push all of the settings to my HP servers. I only have 7.6.0 in my repository and suspect that the VCA is not a softpaq that is in this bundle. Is there any way for me to add it to my repository so that it can be configured?

If your server has an ILO4 you can monitor agentless. If you have older hardware you do need an agent.

For Agentless you need to configure your ILO to be able to be read from the SIM server and to send traps to the SIM server in case of an error. If you need OS information with the agentless option you need one agent, the Agentless Management Service. For older hardware you need either WBEM or SNMP agents. This link is for a DL380 but the software is for all Proliant servers. Since you did not mention your OS i can't be more specific. ESX, Unix/Linux or Windows need specific agents and configuration.

Upgraded 7.6.0 from 7.5 with hotfixes 1 till 22.
SMH 7.6.0 X64
Windows 2008 R2
Remote SQL 2012
As told before i don't have the problems discribed. So is there a difference between our setups ?
