If i read the HP support site right:
1. Purchase Insight Control Suites (having 1-year 24x7 Technical Support embedded with the license purchase). 2. If the question is Insight Remote Support Advanced related then HP SIM will be supported as it pertains to Remote Support Advanced with a Hardware Warranty or Hardware Contract.
So my gues is that you have to have a machine no older than 90 day or the above. The 90 days is found in this piece of text:
First 90 days: HP provides warranty support for HP Systems Insight Manager for the first 90 days from date of purchase.
But then you don't buy SIM, so i would just give it a go, you can always ask your question here if you like.
