I have the identical trouble. I need to perform export settings of current HP SIM to target HP SIM. Source HP SIM has been upgraded from version 7.2 - > 7.3. Now mxexport utility is failing. See error message below:
Currently I am performing export of HP SIM 7.3.0 via mxexport utility. But I am not able to finish export. When I run mxexport after while I receive this error:

Same to you I enabled debugging logging but sofar no luck. I am in touch with HP Support as well but no luck so far.
Did you already solve your issue or not please?
