We monitor servers on remote sites, due to a bad internet connection remotely we receive frequently emails from HP SIM saying it couldn't connect.
Message:
Event Name: System is unreachable URL: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Event originator: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Event Severity: Critical Event received: 18-Aug-2014, 15:51:52 Event description: The current system is no longer reachable from the central management server, hardware status polling has marked this system as not responding
I configured a longer timeout on System Protocol Settings to 60sec * 5 retries (5 min) on each remote servers in order to lower the number of false positives.
When I apply the new configuration, I can see the new values within 5 min but after that, the interface shows the default value and surprisingly the 5 min timeout seems to work...
Have you every eperienced that ?
